The Philissage

is an event devoted to the lovers of a certain exhibition where the artist is present. In a smaller circle and in a personal athmosphere a direct exchange between artist and observer takes place. It may well include aspects of "philosophing" and create associations and pictures which are evoked by the artist's work. There is room for discussion between the observers and the artist. Thus an ambience where observer and artist are inspiring each other is created.

The aim of a philissage is to attract people with a visual intelligence as well as some experience in photography.

The word philissage derives from the word "philosophy" (the love of wisdom) and the word "vernissage" (the opening of an exhibition).

A philissage can take place at the beginning, during, or at the end of an exhibition.
