»A Portuguese Story«
by Fausto Giaccone

At the 31st of August 1975, the Italian photojournalist Fausto Giaccone accompanied one of the occupation journeys in the small town of Couço in Ribatejo. From that day we have a photographic testimonial that reveals us all the joy that the agricultural workers felt when they build at their own cost the “Reforma Agrária”. Eleven years later, searching for participants in the occupation journey, the photojournalist returned to Couço, bringing with him the pictures from that special day. From this new encounter resulted another photographic record in which those that appeared in the old photographs reencountered their memories and the memories of the entire town.
