Emily Peacock is a lens-based artist who lives and works in Houston, Texas. She received her M.F.A. at the University of Houston, with an emphasis in photograph/digital media. Her interests mainly lie in photographing and making short videos of her family and the vernacular aspects of life. Peacock’s is currently reinterpreting the images of the renowned book Diane Arbus: An Aperture Monograph as self-portraits. Her work has been exhibited in numerous group shows throughout Texas. Peacock is on the board and an artist member of Box 13 ArtSpace. Her work is also in the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston collection.
